After the success of our February 13th presentations with Detective Rich Wistocki, the Stateline Area Crime Stoppers board of directors decided it would be very valuable to get the presentations to the remaining schools in Stephenson County. On April 30th Detective Wistocki will give his presentation to Pearl City Jr. High and High School at 1pm. On May 1st his presentation will be given to Orangeville Jr. High and High School at 9am and Lena Winslow Jr. high and High School at 1pm.
A webinar is being organized for parents of students from these schools and the general public at a date yet to be announced.

On February 13, 2018 the Stateline Area Crime Stoppers will sponsor a series of presentations designed to protect children from internet predators. Our presenter, Rich Wistocki has spent over 27 years, the last 21 years dedicated to internet crime. He's authored and updated the State of Illinois Sexting Statue, "SWATTING" legislation and the Sexual Exploitation of a Child law. He also formed the Will County Illinois States Attorney's Technology Crimes Unit that made over 90 sexual predator arrests in its first 3 1/2 years. He's a regular guest on NBC and Fox News educating the public on cyber crimes and is nationally known for his continuous efforts in protecting children.
The series of presentations will start at Freeport High School where Detective Wistocki will speak to the entire student body. An afternoon session will be held at Dakota High School. At 6pm a session geared towards the parents and public will be held at Highland Community College and hosted by the Criminal Justice Club of HCC.
