On 8/4/19, a burglary occurred at a liquor store in Freeport. The suspect forced open the drive thru window by using a hammer allowing access to the business. The suspect is the individual depicted in the attached photographs. If you know this person, or may know of a potential suspect in this case, please contact Stateline Area Crimestoppers. DEATH INVESTIGATION - ASSISTANCE NEEDED
On 6-5-19 at approximately 7:05am, the Freeport Police Department located Thomas Fort, age 45, of Freeport deceased in a vacant lot in the 500 block of E. Iroquois Street in Freeport. During the investigation information was obtained that Thomas Fort was physically assaulted by at least one suspect in the 600 block of West Stephenson Street earlier that morning (June 5th).
The investigation into the death of Thomas Fort is continuing and the Freeport Police Department is asking that anyone who may have information to come forward. ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
On April 7th, 2019, at approximately 4:25 PM, the depicted male suspect entered the BP gas station located at 342 N. Park Boulevard in Freeport, produced a black semi-automatic pistol, and demanded cash. The suspect was not given any cash, but fled from the gas station with a package of Newport cigarettes. The depicted male suspect was last seen running southbound on Park Boulevard.
